It all begins with an idea.

From a small farm in Australia to Canada in 2006, I instantly fell in love with the grandeur of the mountains. In awe, a new adventure awaiting. Being pulled to pursue new activities amongst the snow, ice or open road, by bike or hike, I aspire to seek a vista hard earned. To capture and freeze a moment in time.

Then Cancer. My body restricted, my mind continued on adventures through art. Through cancer treatment, I revisited a long dormant hobby: Painting miniatures. The goal was to ward off the side effects of Chemo: neuropathy in my fingers.

This is where the theme and style of my painting now begins. It’s in the detail. Despite always dabbling in careers that tap into my creativity including wine, woodworking, cooking, and architecture…I have now come full circle on a journey I begun many years ago. My art reflects my adventure through life…I choose to paint my way through it.
